I leave Lani in Corbin's bathroom, and head back down the hallway to my room. I can hear Van in the shower, so I rustle up some clothes and prepare to wait it out. Last night was like a form of torture. Sweet, sweet torture. Having Lani in my bed, only in underwear and a crop top, all snuggly and warm, was delicious. I can't wait until she decides to be ours for real, and this becomes a normal night for us.

I have a feeling that last night's shit only helped move it all along. That jerkoff must need his head read. To have the friendship, perhaps more, of a girl like Lani, only to throw it away for a nasty whore. Especially considering the crap she's obviously put Lani through. What an idiot. But unknowingly, he's pushed her right into our laps. She's already working her way into our hearts, now we just need to cement us into hers.

Hearing the shower turn off, I stroll towards the bathroom, opening the door on Van, as he's drying himself. "Fuck, Hud. This is becoming a habit," he grumbles at me.

"Get over it. I'm not waiting for you forever," I say, stripping off my boxers and striding into the shower. The warm water feels heavenly. I can feel the painkillers kicking in. Now we just need a big, greasy breakfast to complete this transformation.

Van huffs and shuts the door a little harder than necessary on his way out. Moody bastard. Hopefully a feed will improve his temperament too.

After showering, I meet Lani in the hallway, as she's emerging from Corbin's room. My shirt and shorts are enormous on her small frame, but she looks gorgeous. I've never had a girl wearing my clothes before, and fuck, I love it.

"Come on," I say to her, taking her hand. "Let's go eat." We walk together down the stairs and meet up with Van who has started cooking. The smell of bacon and scrambled eggs hits my nose and I groan, maybe drool a little too. I throw some bread in the toaster and get butter out of the fridge.

"Drink, Lani?" asks Van, motioning to the coffee pot and orange juice container.

"Both," she says. "My throat is so dry, but I really need coffee."

"I'll get them," I say, as she goes to hop off the stool. "I want both too."

Van serves up breakfast, technically brunch at this hour, and we all eat in silence. Lani heads up to grab her phone afterwards and comes groaning down the stairs with it.

"What's up? Your dad?" asks Van. Shit, I forgot all about Coach. He's probably wondering why she hasn't come home yet.

"Yeah, and about a million missed calls from pretty much everyone I know," she laughs, not seeming too worried, or in any hurry to call anyone back. "I'll just text my dad and Corbin. Everyone else can wait for now."

She shoots off a couple of quick texts and makes herself comfortable on the couch. We join her, burrowing in either side of her after turning on Netflix.
